Desigo Xworks plus V4.1.090 can be installed directly on WinXP+SP3
and Step7 V5.4 + ....
Remember: It can not be installed with STEP7 V5.5 installed
For installing on Win7 please read the following consideration:

Installation of XP Mode
In addition to the standard Windows 7 installation the following steps has to be done:
• Virtual PC Installation
• XPMode Installation
• XP OS Settings (operation system settings for user)
Install Microsoft Virtual PC. It can be downloaded from the following location:

Install Windows XP Mode for Windows 7: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
Please note, that Microsoft Office has to be installed on XP Mode as well. The Microsoft Office patches, required for XWP 4.1 has to be installed on XP Mode as well.
