Hi all,
I am having trouble to connect to a CX9000 device with system manager. When selecting the target device ,the device is not found when executing a broadcast search.
A ping command to the device gives no problems.
The CX device and the configuring PC are both connected with DHCP on the same router.
Anyone who has tips for me?
Thanks. |

Hi Mojo,
Are you able to connect if you type in the hostname or the IP address of the CX and press "Enter hostname/IP"?
Routers don't pass broadcasts accross networks... (are your devices in the same subnet?)
Switches also may block broadcasts...
Another cause can be a firewall (either on your PC or between the PC and CX) blocking traffic to ADS ports 48898-99.
Also do the following:
Turn off Windows Firewall.
Do you have another networks card, deactivate that one.
Deactivate the FTP server if this is active on the CX9000.
Do you have a CX9000 with two ethernetports? Make sure the IP addresses on those is not in the same network eg give connection 2 address 192.168.0.2 if you have DHCP on the first connection.
Switch the UAC off.
Is TwinCAT in Config Mode on your PC?
Empty the TwinCAT AMS router (in CX9000 and PC), restart TwinCAT after this.
Rename the Documents and Settings folder on the CX9000 and do a restart.
Good luck. |
