Dear All,

We have a problem with redundant CPU in a plant which is running for 10 years with a DCS System of MAXDNA.

My System configuration:

1.Two CPU (417-4HL00-0AB0) connected together in redundancy configuration.
2. Each base contains a CP (441-2AA03-0AE0).
3. The MPI/PROFIBUS DP com port of main CPU is connected with separate HMI(OP37) of each CPU.
4. Another PROFIBUS DP port is tied with some Distributed I/O.
5. Interface slot IF1 of each CP is connected with separate vibration control system.
6. Interface slot IF2 of each CP is connected with DCS computer.
7. CPU firmware version 2.1

My problem:
1. The DCS Monitor cannot show any data of this PLCs though it was running fine about 3 month ago but another data of other PLC is showing correctly.
2. The EXTF led of both CPU is on but the controlling and showing data in HMI is fully operational.
3. The TXD1 and RXD1 LEDs of two CPs is blinking properly (the vibration controller connected with IF1 of each CP is fully functioning) but the TXD2 and RXD2 LEDs of both CPs are always ON and not blinking.
4. FAULT1 and FAULT2 LEDs is ok(no RED LED).

Please see the attachment for diagnostic history.
Please help.

If EXTF is ON that means CP 441 signals external fault or break on the
line so check your cables communications..
Put a working link on buffer diagnostic...
