Hello forum!
So, we are monitoring pumping stations using CP 1242-7 & Telecontrol Server Basic & GPRS. PLC is S7-1200.
Lately we changed telephone provider.
After changing SIM cards in CP 1242-7, while not changing anything in GPRS settings, we still have connection between pumping stations and control station.
That made me look closer into gprs parameters in PLC program (new in programming).
After removing gprs parameters data (APN, IP, DNS) from PLC program (found those in two program blocks), also from HMI panel - there is still connection.
Yes, I downloaded updated program to PLC, also made restart.
So my question is from where CP 1242-7 takes it's connection settings from ... some advice how to see which APN/DNS/IP are currently used?? |

Under "Properties of the CP 1242-7 GPRS V2 > Mobile wireless communications settings", adjust the mobile communication settings of the CP 1242-7 GPRS V2:
PIN
APN settings
Teleservice settings
If you change only in FB it's not enough.. |

Thanks but it's still unclear how to see current working settings.
Fields for your named settings, under CP 1242-7 > Properties > Telecontrol interface (I'm using TiaPortal v14 UPD2) are empty,
except Teleservice settings> 1. Teleserver port and 2. Teleserver port - both 55097,
and still there is a connection between station and Telecontrol Server.
Checked out using TeamViewer, visualisation in control station reflects changes at pumping station. |

You mean the program is still using the old configuration (from sim card 1)?
Probably the system is getting the info from the sim card, in the same way that a phone get that info to connect to Internet. There must be a place where the configuration is stored.
But first you have to remove any hardcoded configuration. Maybe that is the reason why is still using the same configuration. |

Yes. We changed SIM but didn't change GPRS settings.

That's the plan:)
Almost sure this place is not in program database blocks (removed what i found, remaining declarations meaning seemed clear and self-explaining).
Searching for other possible options. |
