Hello,
Somebody it's ready working with Eaton SVX 9000x drive, i'm interested regarding who to prepare Profibus communication between S7-300 and this drive using Tia Portal.

do you have the gsd file |
Yes have gsd file, configuration in HW is done, my problem is to exchange data via profibus status word and control word, by PIW and PQW is ok, but maybe somebody have some function ready done for this type of drive |

maybe you are wrong...
This a Vacon Danfoss Drive not Eaton..are the same...

This a Vacon Danfoss Drive not Eaton..are the same...

Yes is the same, Eaton SVX is identically of Vacon NX drive, and i use PPO4

I am asking you have multiple drives in your project or just one? |

Yes have around 20-30 drives in my project, all is Eaton SVX,

I was waiting for you the project for guiding you.
As long as you do not send anything I'll tell you what you have to do:
here is an example with Sinamics Drive

The steps for Sinamics on Parameter_Access (FB20)

0 Wait for start trigger A rising edge of the “START” signal is waited for.
If it is detected, all output signals are deleted, “BUSY” is set and step 1 is activated.
1 Start WRREC The “START” signal is reset, the “REQ” signal of the “WRREC” instruction is set and step 2 is activated.
2 Wait for end of WRREC
It is waited until the “BUSY” signal of the “RDREC” instruction becomes 0 again. Then step 3 is activated.
3 Check result of WRREC
It is checked whether the data record was written successfully.
If yes, the “REQ” signal of the “WRREC” instruction is deleted again and step 4 is activated.
If the “WRREC” instruction reports error 16#DF80_B500
(peer not ready), step 3 is activated again so that “WRREC” repeats the job.
If a different error has occurred, the “REQ” signal of the “WRREC” instruction is deleted, an internal error bit is set and step 7 is activated.
4 Start RDREC The “REQ” signal of the “RDREC” instruction is set and step 5 is activated.
5 Wait for end of RDREC
It is waited until the “BUSY” signal of the “RDREC” instruction becomes 0 again. Then step 6 is activated.
6 Check result of RDREC
It is checked whether the data record was read successfully.
If yes, the “REQ” signal of the “RDREC” instruction is deleted again and step 7 is activated.
If “RDREC” reports error 16#DE80_B500 (peer not ready), step 5 is activated again so that the “RDREC” instruction repeats the job.
If a different error has occurred, the “REQ” signal of the “RDREC” instruction is deleted, an internal error bit is set and step 7 is activated.
7 Check for errors,copy outputs
It is checked whether one of the internal error bits is set or
whether an error bit has been set in the response of the converter.
In the event of an error
– the “error“ output parameter of FB 20 is set,
– the “busy“ output parameter of FB 20 is deleted,
– 999999.9s is output as read time and
– step 0 is activated.
If no error bit has been set, the read times are output, the “busy” output parameter of FB 20 is deleted and step 0 is activated. |
Note that on this example is used PKW+PZD Telegram.
On your project you intend to use PPO4 which contains only PZD. That means you do not use Parameter Access and the Instance DBs must be modified accordingly. (Please Read carefully on Board Description)
In your case (Eaton Drives) the Parameter_Access FB must follow the steps described below in diagram:
You have to adapt the code in such a manner to follow the steps.
If you are using this way PPO4 of accessing IO addresses then you have to take into account that the scaling on Normalisation, Denormalisation FC must be modified to 10000 instead of 16384.

Salut,
Ieri am testat comunicatia cu Eaton SVX 9000 impreuna cu un reprezentant Eaton.
Cu Tia Portal V13 , nu am reusit sa schimb date prin Profibus DP, chiar daca in HW slave-ul respectiv imi spunea ca este OK, pur si rudimentar convertizorul SVX nu imi trimite si nu primea nimic de la mine.
Am incercat adresarea directa prin IW si QW, nu a functionat.
Cu Step 7, utilizând aceiasi configuratie , exact la fel , aceleasi adrese PIW si PQW , convertizorul Eaton SVX a functionat fara probleme, primeam Status Word,frecventa actuala si trimiteam comanda de start,stop si primeam frecventa actuala.
Precizez ca am folosit un S7 317-2 PN/DP.
Aveti vreo idee , care este cauza de nu functioneaza si cu mediul de programare Tia Portal????

With TIA Portal V13, I did not exchange data via Profibus DP, even if the slave in HW say it's OK, drive SVX no send to PLC nothing and no receive nothing.
I tried direct addressing by IW and QW has not worked.
In Step 7, using the same configuration, exactly the same, same address PIW and PQW inverter Eaton SVX functioned correct, we received Status Word, and sending actual frequency ,control word,start, stop and receive current frequency.
I use PLC S7 317-2 Pn/DP
Any idea what is the cause for not working with TIA Portal programming environment ????

Normally it should works in TIA Portal.
