TeleControl Server Basic V3 in the master station allows inter-station communication between the two substations. The TCSB V3’s counterpart is the CP 1242-7 V2 included in each substation. Communication takes place via the cellular network and the Internet. The following functions are implemented in this application example: The “Inspection Shaft” station (Station 1) cyclically requests data from the “Stormwater Overflow” station (Station 2). The “Stormwater Overflow” station sends data to the “Inspection Shaft” station on an “event-triggered” basis. The master station monitors the status of the connected substations. TeleControl Server Basic V3 enables economic data communication between the remote stations. GPRS and Internet: Always-on functionality. The TeleControl Server Basic V3 in the central station enables a direct connection to both stations. Station 1 is connected to the TeleControl Server Basic V3 by means of the CP 1242-7 V2 GPRS via the mobile communications network. Station 2 is directly connected to the TeleControl Server Basic V3 by means of the CP 1243-1 via cable-based Ethernet. As OPC client, WinCC Advanced enables the visualization and control of process data. The following functions are realized in this Application Example: Both remote stations send some process tags to the central station (”threshold-triggered”). Both remote stations send important process tags cyclically to the central station. Both remote stations send some process tags to the central station (”event-triggered”).
