|
|
In STEP 7, how do you change the DP master for a PROFIBUS node in an S7 station, without changing the settings and addresses of the node?
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109755987/
If you transfer PROFIBUS nodes between two DP master systems in an S7 station, then you have to store temporarily those PROFIBUS nodes in a different STEP 7 project.
If in the hardware configuration for an S7 station you have assigned PROFIBUS nodes to a DP master system, you can no longer assign those nodes to another PROFIBUS node of the same S7 station. When you copy and paste the PROFIBUS nodes from the first DP master system to the second DP master system the addresses of the modules of the PROFIBUS nodes change.
In the following example the DP master system (1) has been configured with an ET 200S in the HW Config for the CPU 414-2 DP. After extending the HW Config with the CP 443-5 Ext the ET 200S is now to be configured for the DP master system (2) without changing the addresses of the modules and the properties in the ET 200S.

Remedy
In the SIMATIC Manager you create and dummy project and in the HW Config of the dummy project you configure an S7-400 CPU with a DP master system.
Note
The configured CPU in the dummy project should be the same CPU. The address area of the CPU must not be less than the addresses to be assigned.
Fig. 2
Open the HW Config of the original project.
Right-click the ET 200S and in the pop-up menu you select "Copy".
Open the HW Config of the dummy project.
Right-click the PROFIBUS and in the pop-up menu you select "Paste".
Switch back to the HW Config of the original project and delete the PROFIBUS node (in this example the ET 200S).
Now copy the ET 200S from the dummy project and paste it in the new DP master system of the original project.
Fig. 3
All the addresses of the modules and the properties in the ET 200S are retained during both copy/paste procedures.
