SIEMENS Catalog CA-01 English 2012
(For correct information the catalogue was finished on late December 2011 so it will appear as 2011 but it is updated 2012).
The DVD contains the Product Catalog CA 01 with more than 100,000 products from Siemens Industry Automation and Drive Technologies.
You will also find product configurators (SPICE) for different product ranges.
1. Local installation – complete
With this installation version, the CA 01 software is installed first, and
then the CA 01 data package. The product configurators (SPICE) are also
installed. Approximately 5 GB of memory space is required.
2. Local installation – user-defined
With this installation version, the CA 01 software is installed first, and
then the CA 01 data package. With user-defined installation of the CA 01 data package, the product configurators (SPICE) are not installed as standard.
Approximately 1.5 GB of memory space is required.
3. Network installation
Installs the entire DVD on a network drive.
(Memory requirement approx. 5 GB). The Product Catalog CA 01 can then be started direct from the network drive. The user-specific data is stored centrally in the selected directory path.
When running the catalog from the DVD, SPICE configurators are not available.

Even if there are a lot of pop-ups the advantage is speed and the fact that you can download freely from multiple servers simultaneously...

You have to see these screens...
Configurator->Drive Technology->Simatic Selection Tool. in CA2012.
1. Configurator
2.It's probably unusual posted here but is on ->Drive technology
3.
4.
If you do not have these screens it means you do not install correctly.
Install before JDK and JRE latest releases from Oracle..is free.

I have installed the CA01 and latest JDK and JRE after installation the Win-7 32 bit with SP1
But when i dublu click on desktop shortcut icon CA01 it is initializing and then after a few second UN-expectedly close.
How can i resolve this issue..??

I have installed many times on XP and Win7 but I did not face such a problem....
Did you try Mouse->Right Click->Run as Administrator?
If it not works then my advice is to compus the partition and try an installation on a fresh system....
That's for sure you have some problems with your OS or other programs you have installed or de-installed....
