Hello.
I'm new to siemens. I'd like to learn how to program siemens PLC, and I have access to a 314 CPU, but I only have a basic laptop.

Some specs of my laptop are: Intel core i3 processor, 8GB ram (upgraded, came with 4GB from fabric), SSD disk.

TIA portal is said to be too heavy to my computer. I don't know about Step7 or microwin. As many plc softwares, there are just too much versions and options.

Please, ¿is even possible to use? I only want to program it, if possible HMI use can be cool, but for now I want to learn programming this thing.

I do have used AB some time, and have a virtual machine in my laptop with it running ok if the project is not too big. don't know if this in helpful information.
