thanks for your effort but no success..the keygen does not permit to enter the first two letters..
and when the program is installed and manual unlock is chosen it prompts for the "first two letters also..I have tried a various combinations and senarios.

WHEW!!!

Thanks for the information Carlos, followed the instructions but it seem that things have changed, this is what happened

1/ when the first two letters are entered(step 1) the code generated is a 12 digit code e.g 25191-3892618 and when that is entered in the code box of the keygen, error comes up..I also tried the code from the example you given me before

unlock code; 133652088
sn; 284641073

and NO SUCCESS

In a dialog box below is refers you to the daqfactory unlock site..

Thanks Carlos, I have seen my error. I loaded v5.1 instead..

I just tried the link you posted and the v5.01 when unzipped, hit run I see no program loading (20 minis i left it and no installation) but if I "run" the program again it says another program of daq 5 is running.
When I shut down the PC i see the daq install program ending..

Can you help me please

I downloaded file again and is not corrupted, installed again and everything worked correctly.
I not know what's wrong.

Hmm. Are you running windows XP sp3 or windows 7, i am running XP sp3, When I unzip the rar there are:
DAQFactoryRS( v5.01 which is the computer with disc icon)
keygen and readme file
setup 5.73( this unzips and the program loads..but it has the 13 digit code)

going to load it on another computer and will let you know..

Just tried it on 2 other xp computers and same thing , when clicked on DAQFactoryRS icon, NO SETUP ..

but no success, same as before, this is very fustrating.

Unzipped and "hit run" and loading page seen but if it hit run again it says it is running..
when I shut down the PC it prompts you to end the DAQfactory exe ..

I let the PC on for more than 2hrs and no success..even removed antivirus and disabled firewall, started and tried loading it in safe mode..no success.
Tried it on two other computers and the same(no success)
NO THIS IS MIND BOGGLING..

Any ideas ??

Binary01, l have followed instructions and unlocked V5.01 then upgraded to V5.73 then V5.78. They do say they are light, but no valuation page shows up.
Working on Win7 64 bit
1º go to unlock key -> Manual unlock
a box appears "Please enter first two letters of your key:"
2º i put "AC" and OK -> appears new box with the CODE that you need
3º closes the program, if not close finishes in the task manager of windows
4º run the keygen

Put this “Code” into the keygen
Push [mAKE] key
Unlock code and serial to go in the manual unlock

5º Put your CODE, "make", the two letters and the necessary serial numbers will appear.
6º returns to 1º line of this text and put the true two letters revealed by keygen, OK, next box, enter the numbers, OK

Ok it seems like the XP OS might be the problem

Going to try it on windows 7 OS..
From you experience do all the All the AB softwares run problem free on windows 7( rslogix 500,rslogix 5000, etc)?

All factory talk activation AB software works well on Win7 64bit. They only exception to software is Eplan which requires better than Home Edition Win7 64 bit

I GOT IT WORKING...YAY!!!!

THANK TO ALL WHO HELPED ME (and had patience)..It was the windows XP OS was the problem..
