|
|
hello,
i want to change my computer, i would like to take a new DELL XPS13.
i have the choice between FHD (1900*1080) and QHD (3200*1800) for the screen resolution.
but i'm afraid about all the automation software (siemens, AB, schneider) are not correctly scaling with W10, and high resolution screen.
i'm not sure that the menu and everything are lisible...
if you have some experience for give some feed back.
why not some screenshot also !!!
thank to all |

There is not problem if the resolution is greater because in Control Panel you can change the resolutions as you need(from up to down resolution).
13.3” FHD AG (1920 x 1080) InfinityEdge display is not extra price.
13.3” QHD+ (3200 x 1800) InfinityEdge touch display ..you have to pay about +350 USD and have touch display...
Here is a thorugh testing of Dell XPS
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Dell-XPS-13-i7-8550U-QHD-Laptop-Review.257650.0.html
In WinCC max resolution is 2560x1600
If I'll be in your position I'll not spent 350USD if I do not use in gaming or in CAD CAE programs intensively even that all CAD CAE programs in 1920x1080 works fine.
If you are willing to spent +350 USD you can try ..the only advantage you have touch screen.... but for me at least I hate to use touch screen... |

Thank for the answer.
i know the full hd is wotking (i have it).
i have actually a xps 13 full hd i7-6550u.
but the new one seem to be much faster for run my different vmware with automation software.
i think really i will spend only a full hd (i don't need really the touch screen).
i ask the question because a friend of mine with a SP4 on QHD have a lot of trouble with the menu of photoshop on this surface.
you rigth, the QHD screen with touch screen is more expensive, and i don't need it.
thanks |
