Our client is the business behind market-leading dairy brands Lurpak, Anchor and Cravendale milk as well as being the leading supplier of fresh milk and cream to the top seven retailers.

They currently have a vacancy for an Automation Engineer to join their fast paced team at their site in Hatfield Peverel.

This automation engineer role is about developing the factory automation systems and infrastructure and providing the site with professional and technical support on manufacturing execution systems (MES), process control systems and automation to effectively support operational activities and continuously improve manufacturing performance. They are responsible for programming manufacturing equipment including process control, sequence of operation, operator interface, alarm handling and play a key role in the continuous improvement process through specialist knowledge of the process plants and technologies.

Our client is looking for candidates with previous experience of working in a process automation or process control engineering environment. With excellent communication and coaching skills to develop colleagues to ensure that technical expertise and process knowledge is second to none. The candidate will problem solve and work well under pressure to meet deadlines. Committed they will comply with product quality, people, safe working environment and change policies. The successful candidate will have experience of working with PLC's (Allen Bradley preferred), SCADA software including Wonderware Intouch and industrial ethernet networking. Knowledge of lean principles and applications would be beneficial as would knowledge of ISA S88, IAS S95, Mitsubishi and integrators - APV.
