Dear Experts, I am creating a project with step 7 V5. 5. Now I want to create alarms blocks but don't know how to go about it.. Can someone explain to me in details how to go about that.... For example if Dryer temperature go high, I want to realizate alarm for that which will say “VERY HIGH TEMPERATURE DRYER A" just as an example.... Í Am using HMI for this project with wincc flexible 2008. I selected multi panel 15 inches.
Thanks..

In Communication Folder define all tags connected to PLC DBs or memory variables which become available on HMI through Connections.
Put your trigger of the alarms in a DB on PLC and access all the triggers from that DB in HMI using these triggers.
When you insert Alarm in HMI, you will have a Column "Trigger Address" there you can see the exact PLC address which triggers these alarms.
On Alarmmanagement will show alarms which are configured in discrete or analog alarm configurator.
