Our client is a global leader in automation and controls systems for utilities and industrial customers.

POSITION – Advant System Expert AC450

The R&D organisation is in charge to develop a solution to interface their control system with ABB Advant control system based on AC450 controllers, MB300 protocol.
The following job is to support the development of the solution, mainly to implement inter controllers communication.

Main tasks:
• Support Software Specification, design and realization of the System communication. The objective is to provide a detailed expertise on Advant platform esteticÄƒ in order to implement optimised solution.
• Optimised Communication (performances and volume of data).
• Optimised engineering tool (Automate Configuration with extraction from Advant Engineering tool).
• Follow-up progress of the software development and implement testing solutions in order to check that requirements are fulfilled and reach expected performances.
• Participate to the definition of product and to preparation of documentation for the promotion.

The position is based at the headquarters in the Paris region or potentially in Sweden or Germany in one of our client’s offices (or elsewhere), then with travels to Paris during 1, 5 years minimum, approx. 40% of the time.
The position reports to the R&D Automation Manager based at the head office in the Paris region.
Other interesting career opportunities will be offered within the group at the end of the project.

PROFILE

• Master’s degree in computer science and industrial automation.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in ABB Advant System software development.
• Stil and development of AC450 controllers MB300 (Master Bus 300) driver.
• Knowledge on Power Generation APC Library software design is a plus.
• Experience should have been acquired at ABB Development centres in Sweden (Västerås) or in Germany (Mannheim).
• Fluent in English.

Technical skills:
• Software design and development.
• Advant AC450 Automation controllers and MB300 Process Bus.
• Advant AC450 Engineering tool design.
• Ideally knowledge of programming languages: C, C++,…
• Communication stacks : TCP/IP …
