Screenmaker is installed when you install robotstudio, you can find it in the tab "Controller", then choose the icon Flexpendant and under this one you find Screenmaker.
The problem is that in the 32 bit version it's ok but in the 64 bit version it's not ok
So to use ScreenMaker you need to start the 32bit RobotStudio which is already installed and ready to be used on your PCs.
Start > All Programs > ABB Industrial IT > Robotics IT > RobotStudio 5.xx > RobotStudio 5.xx.yy
When you have successfully got 5.xx or 6.xx in place in the controller you make a fresh backup before you do anything else.
Why?
You have to copy one line from the new backup and paste it to the backup you created before upgrading.
In the computer, open the new (5.xx or 6.xx) backupfolder and then folder SYSPAR. Open file SYS.cfg.
You then copy this lines from SYS.cfg.
-File "RELEASE:/options/gtpusdk/ScreenMaker.sys" -ModName "ScreenMaker"
-AllTask -Hidden
Open the same file from the backup before upgrading and paste it below:
#
CAB_TASK_MODULES:
-File "HOME:/user.sys" -ModName "user" -AllTask
Then save!
Now you can Restore this backup and ScreenMaker will work! |
