Hello, I am planning to buy an s7-313c, a TP177a HMI and a force monitor which can communicate with a PLC through Profibus-DP.
So my question is will the force monitor be able to communicate with the PLC even though the PLC only has MPI.

Yeas you can.
Interfaces
1 x RS 422/RS 485 Max. 12 Mbit/s, applies to DP operations
1 x USB 1.1 USB host, maximum load 500 mA
1 x Ethernet RJ45 10/100 Mbits
When you are into Network Configuration force MPI instead DP because it has this option for changing DP->MPI. |
