. NET Framework 4.5
With the. NET Framework, Microsoft provides a set of libraries and services available that allows applications to access operating system functions. When replacing the previously used COM (Component Object Model). NET simplifies the low-level software development by providing more flexible options for accessing functions and objects.
The platform is characterized by the implementation of the CLR (Common Language Runtime), which translates program code in different programming languages in common and executes bytecode.
Its functionality is similar to Java.
In contrast to this. NET does support the use of different languages on the basis of Windows and does not translate programs regardless of operating system.
In addition to the current version and the previous version 4.0 , 3.5 , 3.0 , 2.0 and 1.1 available and the Family update , with all the recent updates from version 3.5 to the Service Pack 1 can reload. For more information about. NET at Microsoft .
